5 Classic Pumpkin Party Games for Kids - Ideas for a Fun-filled Halloween

Hey friends, it's Shawn! As a mom, I'm always on the lookout for exciting game ideas to entertain my kids, I thought I'd share my top five classic pumpkin games with all of you in today's blog post. Trust me, these games are perfect for a Halloween-themed gathering! Make sure to scroll down to the bottom of this blog post for 5 hilarious pumpkin jokes.

1. PUMPKIN ROLLING

The first game on our list is pumpkin rolling. To play this game, divide the kids into two teams. Each team is provided with a pile of mini pumpkins. The objective is simple - roll the pumpkins from a designated starting line to a finish line. The team that successfully rolls all their pumpkins to the finish line first emerges as the victorious team. It's a great way to get those competitive spirits soaring!

2. PASS THE PUMPKIN

Next up, we have "Pass the Pumpkin." To play this game, divide the kids into two teams yet again. The pumpkin is passed down the line of teammates by tossing it from one arm to the next. The team that successfully passes the pumpkin along their line the quickest wins the game. It's a simple yet thrilling game that will keep the kids engaged and laughing.

3. PUMPKIN BOWLING

Moving on to our third game, we have pumpkin bowling. You'll need some oatmeal containers or soda bottles to serve as bowling pins and, of course, many pumpkins to roll. The objective is to knock down as many pins as possible by rolling the pumpkins into them. Kids will have a blast trying to perfect their aim and knock down those "pins" just like in a real bowling alley.

4. MUSICAL PUMPKIN

If you're looking for a game that involves music and treats, then the "Musical Pumpkin Pass" is perfect for you. Start by hollowing out a medium-sized pumpkin and filling it with yummy treats. Gather the kids in a circle on the floor and let the pumpkin make its way around as music plays. When the music stops, the kid left holding the pumpkin gets to pick a delicious treat from inside. Continue playing until all the treats are gone. It's a delightful game that adds an extra element of surprise and anticipation to the Halloween festivities.

5. PUMPKIN MARSHMALLOW TOSS

Lastly, we have the "Pumpkin Marshmallow Toss." For this game, you'll need two large hollowed-out pumpkins placed on a table. Divide the players into two teams and give each team a bag of marshmallows. Set up a starting line about two to three feet away from the pumpkins, and have the players toss their marshmallows into the pumpkins. Set a timer for two minutes, and the team that manages to get the most marshmallows into their pumpkin during that time wins the game. It's a fun and challenging game that will put their aiming skills to the test.

With these 5 classic pumpkin games, you'll be sure to create an unforgettable Halloween experience for the kids. So, gather your supplies, invite some friends over, and let the festive games begin! Remember, Halloween is all about having fun and creating lasting memories.
