Is Christmas Eve Worship for Kids?

Some would argue that children should be out of a worship service. I firmly believe that children benefit from being in worship with their parents and grandparents and other adults. How else are children to become Christian adults if they don't (even if occasionally) attend worship with adults? Children's church and children's worship has it's place and time, don't hear me wrong. More on this topic here.

Christmas Eve is on a Sunday this year and, in my opinion, one of the best worship services for kids to attend. If churches aren't making this worship service kid-friendly, they are missing out on an amazing opportunity to reach families.

In this video, I talk about two ways to make a worship service more kid-friendly on Christmas Eve. I highlight what I've done in past churches and in our church this year! If you aren't part of the worship decision-making team for your church then you'll still want to watch to get ideas on what to bring with you to help your kids participate in a Christmas Eve worship service.

For fidget ideas, watch the video below but add in the SQWOOZ by MindWare. Seriously! I just discovered this fidget tool in my recent Stocking Stuffer video and I'm obsessed!

This is Ethan at a Christmas Eve Worship service a couple years ago and you can see part of the Children's Worship Table I had set up for the other kids. It was a big hit!
