Easy Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Here is an easy, homemade cranberry sauce that I literally made this morning in 30 minutes with stuff I happened to have in my pantry. The best part is it only uses 4 ingredients and tastes so yummy! Even my husband likes it and he doesn't typically like cranberry sauce. So, I thought I'd share it with you in case you need to make some up quick for Thanksgiving tomorrow.

The original healthier version I found on MaxinesCorner here. You should go watch it. She uses date syrup to make it healthier but I didn't have that on hand so I used good, unhealthy sugar.

Ingredients:

24 ounces fresh cranberries

1/2 cup water

3 oranges

orange zest

1/2 cup sugar

1. Wash your cranberries and add to your pan set to med low heat.

2. Add half a cup of water.

3. Add juice of 3 fresh oranges.

4. Add zest of half an orange.

5. Add half a cup of sugar. Add more sugar if you want it sweeter. This amount leaves it sweet but still tart.

6. Stir.

After 20 minutes:

After 30 minutes. I like my cranberries to be half mushy and half looking round. The sauce should be slightly jelly like in texture.

Hope you found this helpful! Happy Thanksgiving to my friends in the States!

Peace,
